Video & Digital Library Services

BINARY is the 1st college to implement the LEXIS-NEXIS digital library system in Malaysia. In addition, we have the VCD library and video based training materials to allow our students full access to the latest in digital learning technology.

As part of our self-study and instruction program, the college has recently set-up an IT resource center. The facility is located on the 1st Floor and is available for use from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm daily except Sundays and public holidays. Aside from structured program instruction, students are encouraged to use the facilities as it provides an interesting, effective and convenient way to keep up with changes and developments in both academic and industry.

Computer Labs

BINARY is probably the only college in Malaysia to offer an extensive range of top-end IT facilities. The college is equipped with the million-dollar Sun Ultra Sparc and IBM RISC 6000 computer labs imported from the USA. These labs provide students the opportunity to experience the power and speed that the real world of IT requires today. Students learn Advanced JAVA on the Sun Ultra Sparc and AIX UNIX using the Risc 6000 while those doing multimedia courses learn utilising the latest G4 Apple iMacs.

The labs have been designed with the training needs of our students in mind. They are equipped with the latest with the assistance of our IT hardware and software Industry partners to ensure that the training provided meets with needs of industry and business.

Lounge and Cafeteria

BINARY University College considers “R & R” an essential break between lectures and tutorials. The complex has a number of common areas where students can gather for a rest. In addition, there is a cafeteria within the university that provides hot meals and beverages during normal hours from 9:00 to 6:00pm.

Let’s Jammmm….!!!

We are never short of excitement at Binary. The facility has an in-house studio with a good range of instruments for budding musicians. Binary organises talent nites at least once a year, usually at the end of the final semester.

Well, Binarians love jamming so much that they went on to win the prestigious British Council Award 2000. An in-house music instructor is available with classes organised for anyone wishing to learn music. Check with the Student’s Council for information on instructors. Most instructors are volunteers and you’re not likely to be out-of-pocket.

Gym & Sports

The GYM is located on the 1st floor of the BINARY UNIVERSITY COLLEGE complex. Most of the equipments were imported from the USA and provides students convenient in-house facilities to maintain health and physique.

Outdoor Facilities

The campus is located in a strategic area within a vibrant township. Surrounding this area, business and service providers have established games and outdoor entertainment facilities. These include squash courts, badminton courts, a modern bowling alley, Cineplex, Fitness First,as well as other recreational outlets. Bowling for Everyone

Majority of the outdoor facilities are within walking distance from the university. This helps students optimize their time between academics and extra-curricular activities. The games and activities are coordinated and organised by the Students Council. Schedules of activities are posted on bulletin boards throughout the university.

BINARY has also offers in-door games facilities which includes pool and table-tennis. Professional equipment make up the main facade of these venues.
