PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
This programme introduces the role and scope of Financial, Management Accounting with various concepts, principles conventions and applications and Financial Management. It helps managers to understand and prepare financial reports, costing methods, budgets and the source of a company’s source of finance and capital.
TARGET GROUP
The programme is open to managers and executives from all functional areas other than those from the Finance department, who wish to understand the use of financial data in the decision making process.
CONTENTS
Module 1 – Financial Accounting
- Overview and scope of financial accounting.
- Accounting terms, concepts, principles and systems.
- Preparing and interpreting of financial accounting information.
- Logical and systematic approach in solving accounting problems.
Module 2 – Management Accounting
- The role of management in providing information to managers for decision making, planning and control.
- Nature of cost elements and their behavior.
- Absorption and marginal costing.
- Budgeting and its use as a tool.
- Budgeting process and its use as a too.

Module 3 – Financial Management
- Working capital management.
- Cash flow analysis.

CERTIFICATION
Participants who have successfully completed the course will be awarded the Executive Certificate in Accounting & Finance by Binary University College.
