CENTRE FOR SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP (CSE)

VISION

To be a centre of excellence in Asia for promoting Social Entrepreneurship.

MISSION

To nurture entrepreneurs, businesses and voluntary organizations to explore and implement pragmatic and sustainable solutions based on the values and principles of social entrepreneurship and social enterprise.

To promote social entrepreneurship and social enterprise through research, publications, training programs and networking at national, regional and international levels.


OBJECTIVE


  • To undertake action research studies on social entrepreneurship
  • To organize courses and training in social entrepreneurship
  • To publish research findings and case studies
  • To provide consultancy in social entrepreneurship
  • To develop a network of social entrepreneurs and enterprises
  • To create a data bank on social entrepreneurs and enterprises
  • To advocate policy changes and provide input to decision makers

    DECEMBER 2011


  • Launch of Young Social Entrepreneur Award in Pasir Gudung by Minister of Higher Education
  • Launch of Advanced Diploma in Social Transformation.


    • NOVEMBER 2011


  • Asian Solidarity Economy Forum 2011: Social Enterprise as a Vehicle for Socio-Economic Transformation of Communities.

  • Dates: Monday October 31st 2011 – Wednesday November 2nd 2011
  • Venue: Seri Cempaka, No 8, Jalan Pudu, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.


    • Note : This event has attracted speakers from over 24 countries from Asia and the rest of the world. 350 delegates will also be in attendance.

  • Special Project by CSE : Fighting Against Poverty.

  • 10 publications in International Journals (completed)
