MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN
There are hundreds of good universities around the world producing high quality graduates with a strong academic foundation. What the world lacks, is a university that can produce graduates who possess in-depth knowledge of specific industries in which the graduate will be employed.That’s the role Binary University College has chosen to play in the global arena.
We are here to produce a new breed of graduates called ISP graduates or Industry Specialist Professional graduates. ISP graduates would be armed with a competitive advantage that no other graduate from any university possess. ISP graduates will delight employers with a profound knowledge of the industry in which their prospective employers operate.
As a specialist university for Management, IT and Entrepreneurship, Binary produces 2 types of ISP graduates
Graduates who seek employment as preferred candidates in the competitive job market due to the ISP advantage.
Graduates who wish to be self-employed (entrepreneurs) due to the specialised ISP knowledge they possess and the incubator experience acquired while doing our entrepreneurship degrees.
Since its inception in 1984, the philosophy at Binary has always been a simple one; to differentiate its graduates from all others in the job market. To help differentiate our graduates, in the 90′s we introduced the IRS + EPE formula where we incorporated Industry Relevant Skills (IRS) and provided Extensive Practical Experience (EPE) at no cost.
We forged strategic alliances with some of the world’s leading industry players such as IBM, Oracle, Sun, Lotus, Microsoft and SAP to infuse the latest cutting-edge technology in all our programmes. Both of these experiences enabled us to develop Intellectual Property (IP) for specific industries which has become the “interface formula”for the industry to work with us
We won the Enterprise 50 Award, the Service Excellence Award, Ministry of Education Special Award for Social Contribution, the Asia Pacific E-Entrepreneur Award and the ASEAN Technology Business Review Award to name a few. We were accorded MSC status by the Malaysian government and we are an ISO 9000 Certified institution.
These commendable achievements coupled with our excellent track record over the past 20 years led our government to upgrade us to a university college in 2004. We have since started offering world-class programmes at doctorate, masters and bachelor degrees in our area of specializations.
Today the United Nations,UNESCO,International NGO’s and several overseas governments sponsor their students to pursue the degrees, masters and doctorate programmes at our university because of the ISP advantage.
